This week I chatted with Halestorm drummer Arejay Hale about his recent birthday celebrations, including the entire Halestorm team doing a karaoke version of ‘House of Pain’s Jump Around.’ (We’re awaiting video of this)
Arejay spoke a lot about Halestorm’s new album ‘Back From The Dead.’ Saying this is the album where you’ll hear the [drum] playing that he’s always wanted to do. He credits both producers Nick Raskulinecz & Scott Stevens for helping him to ‘find his voice as a drummer.’
Halestorm is on tour for most of 2022 in support of ‘Back From The Dead’ and Arejay is happy about it. He say he’s used to living a ‘3 ounce life,’ living out of suitcase and toiletries in 3oz bottles, so the time off due to the pandemic took some adjusting.
