Late last week the John M. Scott Health Care Commission Announced a new plan for the upcoming financial year (May 2023-April 2024).
This program is looking to aid programs and services that are too small to earn funding from the category I and II benefits in McLean County. The requirements for receiving the fund include serving locals at or under 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.
The priorities of the program are to fund programs with health disparities within communities of color, social determinants of health and Mental Health. Other programs that are eligible for this grant include heart disease centers, oral health centers and pandemic response recovery and preparation.
Programs looking to a part of this funding have until Feb. 26 to apply.
