Jimmy Kimmel revealed that his 7-year-old son, Billy, had his third open heart surgery over the Memorial Day weekend. The late-night host shared in a lengthy Instagram post yesterday that Billy came out of the procedure with a new valve and is now “a happy, healthy kid.” Billy was born with a rare congenital heart defect and had his first surgery 3 days after birth, followed by a second at 7 months. Kimmel and his wife, Molly, are hopeful that this will be the last. The comedian also expressed his gratitude for the support from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and encouraged others to support “a great children’s hospital near you.” (People)
