Freddie Prinze Jr. has officially joined the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, reprising his role as Ray Bronson from the original 1997 movie and its 1998 follow-up. Jennifer Love Hewitt is also in negotiations to return as her character, Julie James. The new film, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, will be released in theaters on July 18th 2025. The plot details for this continuation project are still unknown, but the cast also includes Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, and Jonah Haur-King. The franchise is based on Lois Duncan’s teen horror novel about four friends stalked by a killer after a tragic accident. (Deadline)
