Shinedown has dropped two new singles, “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance.”
Speaking on the approach to the fresh material, frontman Brent Smith shares, “We needed to approach everything different this time.”
“The last two albums [2018’s ATTENTION ATTENTION and 2022’s Planet Zero] were both conceptual so it was important for us to really ask ourselves creatively where do we want to go,” Smith continues. “The answer to that was we want to go everywhere so there was no specific direction. We just started writing, and let the new songs guide us. I also think we stopped saying ‘why’ and started saying ‘why not?'”
You can listen to “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance” now via digital outlets. Both tracks are accompanied by lyric videos, streaming now on YouTube.
“Dance, Kid, Dance” also gives Shinedown’s upcoming U.S. tour its name. The outing runs from April through August, with Beartooth opening the spring dates and Bush supporting the summer shows. Country artist Morgan Wade will also be on the bill for all dates.
