Along with an unannounced reunion of Nirvana‘s surviving members, Thursday’s FireAid Los Angeles fire relief benefit concert featured a number of surprise collaborations.
Green Day opened the show with a performance of their song “Last Night on Earth,” featuring guest vocals by Billie Eilish, who later performed her own set.
Slash showed up during The Black Crowes‘ set for a cover of Led Zeppelin‘s “Going to California.” The “She Talks to Angels” band also backed John Fogerty‘s performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”
In addition to performing with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea joined Stevie Wonder for a rendition of “Higher Ground,” as did Sting.
Blink-182‘s Travis Barker played drums alongside Jelly Roll during a cover of Bob Seger‘s “Hollywood Nights.”
