Major League Baseball is getting ready for robot umpires.
It’s called the Automatic Ball-Strike system and they’re already testing it out in Triple-A games. It uses a bunch of cameras to scan the batter’s box and accurately call balls and strikes. The call is relayed to the home plate ump who yells it for the crowd.
The MLB hasn’t said when it’ll start using robo-umps.
