Last year Tentac enterprises filled up the back of a pickup truck full of toys to donate to Toys for Tots. While it might be a lofty goal, this year the group is looking to break that goal for this year’s event.
This year’s event is Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Eastland Suite’s bar the Deep End Tap. Tentac puts on these events as a part of their Tentac Gives back campaign where they help local charities.
“This December we’ve decided to focus on a drive for Toys for tots,” Hillarie Hamblin said. “We did this event last year and it over really well. Because we filled a pick-up truck bed last year I thought we should do it again.”
The event will be a happy hour at the Deep End Tap. Along with the chance to get a drink for free with a donation, the event will hold a raffle with a chance to win a variety of prizes. The prizes include an iPad, four tickets to the Wonder Museum in Chicago, a speaker and more.
Local restaurants will be providing appetizers for the event. DP Dough will have calzones along with foods from Mystic Kitchen, Rob Dobbs and Barrelhouse.
