Stuff the Bus 2023 collects 6.2 tons of items for BrightPoint Crisis Nursey

By Wes Styles Dec 4, 2023 | 1:16 PM

On Monday, December 4 a team of volunteers gathered at BrightPoint‘s Crisis Nursey in Bloomington to help un-Stuff The Bus. The week long event ‘toured’ the area making stops at both Bloomington-Normal Walmart locations, Kroger on E. College, and the Sam’s Club in Normal. Throughout each stop the community graciously donated items from diapers, wipes, clothing, baby formula, and a wide variety of other needs.

Connect Transit weighed the bus before the un-stuffing began and this year, thanks to your support, we were able to raise 6.2 tons of items to help local families in 2024! That’s up from last year’s total of 5.7 tons!

BrightPoint and their Crisis Nursery distributes these items to families throughout the year. This past year alone they’ve given out over 90,000 diapers to the community!

We’d like to say ‘THANK YOU’ for your support of another successful Stuff the Bus. Without you and your support, none of this is possible!

Also a big ‘THANK YOU’ to Paul Davis Restoration, State Farm Agent Mandy Reed, and Tracy Patkunas Remax Rising.
