Slow Art Day on Route 66 announced for April 13

Slow Art Day, an global event, happens yearly and is to help get people out to enjoy art, especially their local art scene. Here in Bloomington-Normal, our local art galleries have taken part in Slow Art Day since 2022, when the Bloomington Arts organized the first citywide Slow Art Day. Now it’s grown into a Route 66 statewide event!

This year’s Slow Art Day on Route 66 is set for Saturday, April 13th from 10a to 2p at various at stops along the historic highway in Illinois. Locally, there are many galleries taking part in the event. You can see the list below or CLICK HERE for an interactive map of all the locations.
